ContactGraph keeps your contacts on your device, and only sends a card image out when you ask it to scan one.
1. Introduction
ContactGraph is a local-first app for saving business cards and seeing how the people on them connect. Contacts and card images are stored on your device. This page explains what information is handled when you use the app.
2. Card Images And Extraction
When you photograph or select a business card, the image is sent to Google Gemini through Firebase AI Logic so the printed fields and any social-platform logos can be extracted into an editable form. If you enter a contact by hand, no image is sent anywhere.
3. Contact Information You Save
Names, titles, organizations, departments, industries, emails, phone numbers, websites, addresses, social handles, tags, notes, and the card photos you keep are stored in a local JSON file and image files in the app documents directory on your device. ContactGraph does not require an account.
4. How Relationships Are Calculated
Relationships between contacts are computed on your device from the details you saved — shared organization, department, email domain, and industry. Edges are never stored or uploaded; they are recalculated from your own contact list every time the graph is shown.
5. How Information Is Used
ContactGraph uses your saved contact information to show the contact list, fill in contact detail screens, draw the relationship graph, and produce the insights summaries such as contacts per organization, department, industry, and email domain.
6. Photo Library Access
If you choose a Photos album for card auto-sync, ContactGraph reads images from that album so it can offer to import new cards. Photo access is only used to read the album you pick and to save images you ask the app to keep.
7. Sharing
When you share a contact, a department, or an organization, ContactGraph builds a vCard file or a ContactGraph bundle file and hands it to the system share sheet so you can send it through the app you choose.
8. Subscriptions And Purchases
ContactGraph Pro is an auto-renewing subscription handled by the App Store. Purchase and restore are processed by Apple; the app stores only whether the subscription entitlement is active. Payment details are never seen by the app.
9. Security
Card scanning runs over standard HTTPS and is protected by Firebase App Check with App Attest, so no AI API key is bundled in the app. Your contacts stay in the app’s own storage area on the device.
10. Your Choices
You can edit or delete any contact from the app, and deleting a contact removes its saved card images from the device. You can also skip card scanning entirely and enter every contact by hand if you prefer nothing to leave the device.
11. Children
ContactGraph is a productivity app intended for professional use and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law without appropriate consent.
12. Changes
This policy may be updated as ContactGraph changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with the effective date.
